Hi there, I’m Mary.

I'm an Eema (mom) to a hilarious and spunky 4-year-old who loves trucks, is disabled, and would like to spend life in a pool. She's perfect, but the management of her disjointed, unorganized, and inefficient care has shown me

there has to be a better way to do this.

Why I'm here.

Four years ago, I worked as a project manager and then as an Executive Director of a non-profit. When my daughter came into my life, lack of nursing, doctors who didn't talk, and constant scheduling of appointments meant that I eventually had to give up my job to be CEO of her care.

[So many of us have to do that.]

I've learned how to leverage those project management skills to put systems in place for our family so that most days I get to spend more time being a parent and less time on the phone ordering supplies. I've managed multi-discipline, multi-hospital care conferences on her behalf. And I've spent countless hours talking to friends, advocates, and mentors who are disabled to figure out the best ways to make her voice the loudest in the room.

Now I want to do that for you and your loved one.

About Us.

Thinking from a caregiver's perspective

There have been so many times during this journey that I've realized that case managers are NOT managing my child's case for her nor my benefit, rather for their agency's benefit. They are not available when I need them to be; they do not communicate in ways I need them to be; and they always seemed to add more to my load than they took from it. But why should they get it right when they have no idea what our lives look like?

At Bumblebee, we'll always carry our weight and understand that our job is to bring some softness to your lives where you know we'll get it done and we'll get it right even if it's the middle of the night.

Care should be collaborative, holistic, and efficient.

We put in the people hours so that all aspects of your loved one's care are documented by us. I'm not going to lie: it's going to take an investment of your time, your effort, and your money to get us there, but we will show you it's worth it.

Our agency relies on technology to make sure that your loved one's care is always accessible to you and to the people you need to know. It makes sure you're not stuck on hold waiting to talk to people about nonessential things or filling out the same information (again) on a different form so that care can be transparent and collaborative without taking even more of your time.

We're here to learn and to teach.

What if you're someone who isn't so good at technology and all of those apps? Maybe you are but writing insurance letters or running meetings with your doctors intimidates you tremendously. Or maybe now that your loved one is getting a new piece of equipment, you'd love to learn from a peer rather than a hospital professional what the tricks of the trade are.

This is why the Agency is a hive. We know that you might be brilliant at some things and need some support in others. We will have your back with a bunch of smart people and we hope to create a community of people who are willing to mentor one another in conversations, videos, and courses in person and online.

Finally, our plan is to reach out and teach providers and professionals what families like ours need. We know so many professionals want to do it better, they just need to know how.

Come talk to us today.
